The arching stalks are filled with variegated green leaves with off white edges. In the summer white flowers dangle under the leaves. On a still night you may notice a slight lily type fragrance. Polygonatum 'Variegatum' enjoys being grown in full to part shade gardens with rich, moist soil. 'Variegatum' attracts hummingbirds on the bell shaped flowers.
