(Silver Laced Primrose) Primula 'Penumbra' is the first silver laced primula to be commercially available. It is named for the curious slim edge of cool light that shows around the moon during an eclipse. The mysterious mahogany-red flower petals are outlined with a bright silvery-white edge and surround a prominent golden center. 'Penumbra' flowers from early spring to early summer and is heavenly in woodland gardens.
