(Mexican Hat Plant) A native Ratibida that puts on a show all summer. Ratibida Red Midget is an amazing bloomer that puts on a show from June until Fall. Standing 18-36 inches tall, Red Midget is a seed variety that blooms in shades of burgundy, yellow and orange. The unique cone attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and adds interest when the flowers are spent. Hardy in zones 3-8, Red Midget is a drought and salt tolerant variety that grows well in in average to dry soil locations. Beautiful in butterfly gardens and meadows Red Midget makes a great cut flower. Ratibida is a deer resistant, native perennial.
