(Blue Spruce Stonecrop) Sedum 'Carnea' is a native variety to Northern California in the coastal mountains. This sedum is hardy down to zone 5 and a drought tolerant succulent perennial. 'Carnea' is a 4" low growing, mounding variety that produces 1-1 1/2" burgundy blue rosettes that send a spike with bright yellow star shaped flowers in the late summer. For winter interest, look for the bright red color in the leaves and stems. 'Carnea' is well suited for use in rock gardens, dry soil conditions, Succulent gardens, and borders.
