(Violet) Native Viola, Silver Gem is more than just flowers it has amazing foliage. Standing a compact 3-5 inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, Silver Gem is just that a real gem for the garden. In late spring throughout the summer delicate small lavender viola flowers appear. The distinct foliage is burgundy on the undersides with a light green leaf that is covered with a silver overlay that accentuates the green veining. Planted in full sun to part shade, Viola Silver Gem is drought tolerant once established.
