Aquilegia - Columbine

Early spring produces the lovely bi-colored blooms of the columbine, along with the butterflies and hummingbirds it attracts. Growing approximately 24 inches tall and wide, columbines grow in full sun to part shade in northern states. In southern climates, part shade is ideal. The rabbit resisting bountiful beauties are a must for wildflower gardens and naturalizing wooded areas.
