Holly Blue - Ilex

Holly Blue, also called ilex, are fantastic evergreens, giving your landscape four season excitement. Their glossy, deep-green foliage is stunning. In winter, holly stems are adorned with bright red berries. If you are into attracting birds to your garden, hollies are eagerly sought by robins and waxwings. Make sure to plant a “male” holly to pollinate your “female” hollies for generation of mass berries. Depending on variety, heights can reach up to 10 feet, when planted in full sun to part shade, with moderate to wet soil.
