St. John's Wort - Hypericum

Add bright cheery color to your summer landscape with St. John’s Wort, or Hypericum. This North American native is a low maintenance, long-blooming shrub that comes in small to medium mounded varieties. It does best in moist, well-drained soils, but will tolerate some drought once established. Northern gardeners should mulch the roots of St. John’s Wort in the winter. Used for edging beds and walkways, as a ground cover, or in mixed shrub and perennial beds, this deer resistant shrub will bring a burst of sun to your yard.
