(Hyssop) SONORAN SUNSET™ Agastache is a new compact selection that is far superior to the species. The large lavender-rose flowers of SONORAN SUNSET™ are very showy and bloom from summer through fall. Hardy to zone 5! Some say it smells like licorice, others think it smell like mint. Whatever the smell is, the butterflies and hummingbirds will think the party is in your garden. SONORAN SUNSET™ Agastache is sometimes referred to as a mosquito plant. It is said that by rubbing the leaves on the skin, the essential oils will repel mosquitos. Planted in the sun, SONORAN SUNSET™ Agastache will thrive in average soil and tolerate the heat and humidity of summer. No worry about deer or rabbits, they are not fond of the minty taste.

    Absolutely Beautiful
Love this plant, absolutely beautiful. Long lasting display! Strong, but I do support for windy days.

  2. Julie W | Zone: 8a

    Showy Indeed!
Showy indeed! Bright, cheery color with loads of blooms. Compact enough to pot, which I did. Makes a great thriller. Plant and color holds up to the Texas sun and heat like a champ.

  3. Gale W | Zone: 7b

    Drought Tolerant
I live in North Carolina and love, love, love this plant. It gets extremely hot and dry here from late May to late September and this is the most drought tolerant plant! I have mine planted around 40 yrs. old pine trees and it’s as dry as a bone. They love it and bloom all summer. Love the smell too! Just a Grand flower period!
