(Sedge) Carex ‘Bowles Golden’ really stands out in the garden, with its dazzling bright gold foliage and narrow green margins. The attractive arching habit and luminous foliage color makes ‘Bowles Golden’ a great companion plant for Heucheras or Hostas in contrasting colors. ‘Bowles Golden’ grows 2 to 3 feet tall and wide, prefers a half day of direct sunlight, and is deer resistant. Hardy for zones 5 to 8. Use as a border, edging, container planting, or as a focal point in your landscape. This variety thrives in consistently moist, rich soil, and can also be grown in shallow water at the edge of a garden pond.

    Electric Color
Bowles Golden is an outstanding grass that is not invasive and perfect near a patio. I planted 7 in Zone 5 to mass near our new stone patio 3 years ago and they are the perfect complement to the hydrangea and June hostas nearby. The color is electric and the form very graceful.
