Colocasia Illustris is the ultimate thriller for your large container combinations growing to heights of 3-5′. It also loves wet conditions and can be used as a water plant growing best in full sun to part shade locations. Colocasia Illustris is adaptable as a houseplant but please note that it can be toxic to pets.

    I plant Illustris (elephant ear) every year as a thriller in one of my combination pots. Love the large dark-veined velvety leaves. Looks great combined with bright colored fillers. I have also used this elephant ear in a water feature. It’s a very versatile plant.

    Fantastic thriller used for years in my pots. Able to withstand heat and regular watering. It was paired with Supertunias…great combination!
