(Coneflower) Echinacea ‘Green Jewel’ is a fragrant green jewel that every garden must have! Watch the butterflies and hummingbirds flock to your garden for a sip of the sweet nectar. The large, green cone center is surrounded by soft green petals that stay true to their color as they age. Perfect for fresh cut or dried floral arrangements. During the summer you will want to remove the spent flowers to encourage new growth, but come fall if you leave the seed heads on they will provide winter interest and food for the birds. Echinacea ‘Green Jewel’ has an upright habit and prefers to be in full sun for the most abundant flowering. Plant a few different varieties for a rainbow of color.

This really is a different plant! It’s neat to see such pretty green blooms! A fun piece to add to any sunny garden

  2. Linda | Zone: 7b

    Healthy
Healthy cultivar that looks great with Julia and Virgin Echinacea. I have these planted in several locations and they survive when others do not. I plant some every year.

    Up to The Challenge
If you’re looking for something different that will stand out in the garden, Green Jewel is up to the challenge. It blends very nicely with white Echinaceas and Monarda. Hardier than some of the other new Coneflowers I’ve tried, and no rampant seedlings.
