(False Sunflower) Heliopsis ‘Bit of Honey’ features white foliage with deep green veining giving this Heliopsis interest all season long. Standing 24 to 28 inches tall and 30 inches wide, the dense habit is perfect for the middle of the garden. ‘Bit of Honey’ blooms midsummer until early fall with 3-3 ½ inch golden-yellow blooms with multiple rows of petals creating a nice full flower. Hardy in zones 4-9, Heliopsis likes to be grown in full sun to part sun locations and prefers well-drained soil. This drought-tolerant perennial may be a bit later to emerge in the spring, waiting on the heat to emerge. Plant as a specimen, create a border, or plant in a container for summer enjoyment.
