(Coral Bells) Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ has deep purplish-black leaves with a polished glassy luster that makes them shine in the landscape. The dark color is very unique and is closer to true black than any other Heuchera. In early summer, the dark foliage is accented by 24″ smokey purple buds which open to cream flowers. Are deer a problem for you? The compact foliage is deer resistant. The brightly colored flowers will attract butterflies to your garden to drink in the sweet nectar. Without a doubt, ‘Obsidian’ is one of the best new Heuchera on the market today! Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ performs well in full sun to part shade and makes a real statement when planted as a border. Winter salt will not harm your plants.

    Heat Tolerant
I have had Obsidian in my garden for several years. It copes beautifully with the Oklahoma heat, which generally means highs over 100F in the summer. And most of the time, its big shiny leaves are really black, as promised. Obsidian is my favorite heuchera (although Georgia Peach runs a close second).
