(Hosta) There is nothing prettier in the spring than the leaves of hostas emerging from their shady garden homes. This is especially true of Hosta ‘ Dancing Queen’. In the spring, bright yellow leaves emerge and hold their yellow color throughout the summer. Most yellow Hostas emerge chartreuse green, and change colors, but this is not the case with ‘Dancing Queen’. This large Hosta stands 18 inches tall and spreads up to 30 inches wide. The large leaves have a nicely rippled, pie crust edge, and have good substance for increased pest resistance. In midsummer, light lavender flowers emerge standing approximately 10 inches above the foliage. Planted in full to part shade locations, Hosta ‘Dancing Queen’ is an easy to grow perennial variety, attracting hummingbirds to the garden. Hostas are a great selection for borders, specimens and container designs.
