(Petunia) A petunia that requires no deadheading? That’s what you can expect when you buy SUPERTUNIAS®! Enjoy the variation of lavender blue blooms on SUPERTUNIA® Blue Skies. Standing 6-12 inches tall and spreading up to 18-24 inches wide/long, SUPERTUNIA® Blue Skies petunia is a great selection for hanging baskets, planters or window box combinations. The uses don’t end there… SUPERTUNIA® Blue Skies also makes a great groundcover! Enjoy the beauty of hummingbirds and butterflies as they come to check out your petunias throughout the summer. PROVEN WINNERS® SUPERTUNIAS® are self cleaning and require no deadheading. What that means is that you do not need to pick at them to keep them looking beautiful all summer. We do recommend fertilizing your SUPERTUNIA® every 1-2 weeks with a water soluble fertilizer. This helps keep your plants well nourished providing you with loads of color. You may find that midseason your baskets and planters need a manicure. We recommend trimming your SUPERTUNIA® Blue Skies petunia back to approximately the bottom of your hanging basket or container. This will encourage more branching and freshen up your planter.

Love this annual! Buy it every year for my yard and it looks fantastic all summer through fall

  2. Susan

Amazing! I planted these in containers on hot sunny brick steps in zone 6, where I’ve struggled to find the right plants to do well. I had to keep them well-watered, but they were so vigorous and had so many gorgeous purple-blue flowers! Planted them with lemoncello supertunias, and they were beautiful together. I probably should have trimmed them back more often and fertilized them more to keep them bushy and thriving all the way through late summer, but they were fantastic for 3-4 months. Probably my favorite flower that I planted this year!

Very hardy. Easy to grow. I even over fertilized and they still did great! (It lightened their color) they get big and trail beautiful in an urn
