(Arrowwood Viburnum) BLUE MUFFIN® Viburnum is an Arrowwood Viburnum that is perfect for adding texture to residential landscapes. This viburnum, also called Naked Witherod, is full of vibrant green, blue, and white colors. This viburnum is a shrub hardy in zones 3-8, making it a great selection for colder climates. It has an upright growth habit which stands 5-7 feet tall and spreads 3-5 feet wide. Clean white flowers make for a crisp contrast with the glossy green leaves. These flowers bloom on this year’s growth in early to mid-summer. The flowers are followed by intense blue fruit in late summer and fall. Fruiting is enhanced when multiple plants are planted nearby such as other viburnum varieties. The fruit adds interest to the fall landscape and attracts songbirds to the garden. Additionally, the flowers on BLUE MUFFIN® viburnum will attract bees and butterflies to pollinate. The deer don’t normally find the berries or other parts of the plant appetizing, which makes this shrub deer-resistant. It grows best in full sun to part shade locations. BLUE MUFFIN® viburnum is very durable and adapts well to a variety of soils. A PROVEN WINNERS® COLORCHOICE® Flowering Shrub.
