(Big Leaf Hydrangea) Hydrangea 'Claudie' PP15,968 is a cool new Hydrangea developed by Hydrangea expert Corrine Mallet and named after French astronaut Claudie Andre-Deshays. In acidic soil, 'Claudie' displays large, deep blue, fertile flowers with orbiting starry florets that have unique well separated sepals. Like all Hydrangea macrophylla, flowers will be pink in neutral soil. 'Claudie' PP15,968 flowers in late June and then forms its flower buds in later summer. The best time to prune is it after it blooms, from mid-July to mid-August. Cease pruning in mid-august to allow time for the flower buds to form prior to winter. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
