This privet selection is the first sterile, non-invasive variety. It's more compact, with a mounding habit, growing 4 to 6 feet tall and wide. The foliage is brightly chartreuse-colored when planted in full sun, and slightly darker leaves when planted in part shade. During the summer, this privet is covered with plumes of highly fragrant white flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. The sturdy stem also makes an awesome filler for cut flower arrangements. Privet is an excellent fast growing shrub for hedges and borders.
