(Hardy Lilac) Syringa 'Prairie Petite' is an exciting new lilac that is perfect for smaller gardens or even large patio containers!   Everyone loves the intoxicating scent of lilacs in the spring, but many gardeners simply do not have the room for such a large shrub.  Syringa 'Prairie Petite' features a very compact habit and dense branching that forms rounded balls only 3-4' tall and wide. The fat 5" blooms emerge rosy-pink and mature to lighter lavender in early summer. 'Prairie Petite' makes an excellent hedge or specimen plant for the landscape!
