Details

(Weigela) Midnight Wine® Weigela is a wonderful dwarf version of Wine & Roses®. The dark metallic burgundy-purple foliage is very elegant and provides a lovely backdrop to the bright pink flowers. It's compact mounding habit makes Midnight Wine® perfect for the front of the border. Plant with contrasting foliage plants like Blondy® Euonymus to really set off the purple foliage! A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

Nice Contrast Review by Ron B | Zone: 6a
Quality
The dark wine foliage color added a nice contrast to the various shades of green foliage in the landscape. Easy to grow, but ours has never produced any flowers. (Posted on 1/13/2012)
