(Agave) Indoors or out, Agave Desert Diamond is a great specimen. Standing 15 inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, Desert Diamond is a perfect symmetrical globe. The leathery thick leaves are deep green edged in cream. The scalloped edges have tiny brown spikes with a larger spike at the tip. Handle with care. Hardy in zones 9-10, Agave Desert Diamond can be planted outdoors in warmer climates. For cooler climates we recommend planting in a patio container that can be transferred indoors for the cooler months. Agave are a slow growing plant and flower once every 15-20 years, therefore mostly grown for their attractive foliage. Deer and rabbit resistant, Desert Diamond is a great addition to rock gardens, patios, and indoor decor.
