Details

(Agave) Known as a Squid Agave, 'Monterrey Frost' the foliage resembles the long legs of a squid. Standing 12 inches tall and up to 18 inches wide, 'Monterrey Frost' has long slender leaves with a slightly arching habit. The olive green leaves are edged in a strip of cream. Agave are a love lived perennial that often sends off 'babies' that can be separated and transplanted. 'Monterrey Frost' blooms after 15 - 25 years with a tall 4-5 foot spike that has cream scented flowers. Hardy in zones 8-10, 'Monterrey Frost' is a slow grower that prefers full sun to part shade locations.

Agave 'Monterrey Frost' is a succulent plant and prefer to be grown with light watering. During the Winter this slow grower should be grown dry. When planting in a container we recommend planting in a pot that is slightly larger than the plant.
