(Agave) Known as a Squid Agave, Monterrey Frost the foliage resembles the long legs of a squid. Standing 12 inches tall and up to 18 inches wide, Monterrey Frost has long slender leaves with a slightly arching habit. The olive green leaves are edged in a strip of cream. Agave are a long lived perennial that often sends off babies that can be separated and transplanted. Monterrey Frost blooms after 15 - 25 years with a tall 4-5 foot spike that has cream scented flowers. Hardy in zones 8-10, Monterrey Frost is a slow grower that prefers full sun to part shade locations.
