This coneflower can reach a maximum height and spread of 20-24 inches, and is hardy in zones 4-8. Coneflowers thrive in full sun and in the heat of the summer. They can tolerate some shade, but their flowers will not be as prolific as they would be when planted in full sun. Echinacea are easy to care for perennials, and once established, they don’t need much water.
