Heucherella - Foamy Bells

Heucherella are colorful perennials grown for their foliage interest. They are a cross between Heuchera, which provides the colorful foliage and Tiarella, which provides the beautiful leaf patterns and cut-leaf shape. They were given the common name of ‘Foamy Bells’ because of their foam-like flowers that can be white, pink or cream.
Heucherella grow in zones 4-9 and in the milder zones are evergreen. They show the best color in part shade (preferably afternoon), but can be grown in full sun to full shade conditions. They like well-drained soil (not recommended for clay soils) with adequate moisture (do not over-water), and are heat and humidity resistant.
