Arborvitae - Thuja
Evergreen, elegant, hard-working and versatile are just a few words that describe Arborvitae shrubs. The upright, narrow shape of most Arborvitaes make them the perfect choice for wind-breaks and privacy hedges, and they also make great specimen plants to soften corners of landscape beds or foundation plantings. Even try them in containers flanking either side of doorways or garden gates. Arborvitae grow best in full sun, but will tolerate light shade and prefer fertile, moist well-drained soil. Our smallest variety is 1-2 feet high and wide and our largest is 20-30 feet high by 8-10 feet wide, providing a size for every garden situation.
