(Hyssop) ‘Blue Boa’ is an amazingly showy new Agastache from Terra Nova Nurseries. The beautiful deep-violet spikes are thick, long and super showy. Agastache perennial plants bloom all summer long in full sun and require moderate-to-dry soil. Consider using ‘Blue Boa’ as a cut flower with a pleasing anise fragrance. This is a perfect plant for butterfly and hummingbird gardens. Because of its lovely fragrance, ‘Blue Boa’ is deer resistant.

  1. Grace P

This is a top-notch, long blooming perennial. It doesn’t require staking if you tip pinch it in April and May, which will make it bushy and more floriferous. The only drawback I’ve experienced is that it is not super drought tolerant. But I don’t mind giving it a drink a few times a week during the summer months. Very eye-catching, partnered with Veronica ‘First Love’ and Gypsophila ‘Bristol Fairy’.

  2. Stephanie C

If you want pollinators to visit your garden, then Blue Boa will do the job. I stake mine using a grow ring support so it stays upright. It is covered by bees, but butterflies and hummingbirds love it too.

    Quality hyssop
    ANYTHING from TerraNova is excellent!

    Needed Staking
These were very tall and needed staking. Also, they were not as fluffy as the pictures showed them to be. I was disappointed with them.
