Alstroemeria 'Summer Breeze' features striking golden yellow flowers with peach highlights. The dark green foliage has deep purple undertones that are a perfect pairing with the flowers. Standing 3- 3 ½ feet tall and wide, the columnar upright habit makes this a great garden thriller. Hardy in zones 6-9, Alstroemeria 'Summer Breeze' prefers to be grown in full sun to part shade locations with average to fertile soil. When planted in well-drained locations with good winter protection, we have seen it overwinter in cooler zones. Blooming begins early to mid-summer and lasts until a hard frost, one of the longest blooming perennials in my garden. Enjoy the butterflies and bees that visit your Peruvian Lily 'Summer Breeze'. There hasn't been an Alstroemeria I don't love, and Summer Breeze is no exception. They are one of the longest bloomers in my garden. I have seen blooms in late October here in Michigan even after a freeze.
