When I was visiting the Trail Gardens this past summer I instantly noticed this Anemone that was blooming in June. Not only was it blooming ‘early’ but it also had really cool coloration with the white and purple petals. It instantly got put on the ‘for my garden’ list.

(Japanese Anemone) Unlike many Anemone, WILD SWAN™ is a variety that blooms from early summer through the fall. Standing 20 inches tall, stunning single 3- 3.5 inch blooms cover this plant. WILD SWAN™ has unique flower coloration, the blooms are white on the inside while the other blooms are a light lilac purple. As the blooms close at night, the purple is more predominate. Grown in full sun to part shade, WILD SWAN™ has moderate to average water needs. Woodland, cottage and eclectic gardens would be a perfect setting for the beauty of WILD SWAN™, as it sways in the breeze. Enjoy the flutter of butterflies and bees as they come to visit your garden.
