Description

(Marguerite Daisy) Enjoy season long color with Golden Butterfly® Argyranthemum. The upright mounding habit stands 18-36" and is a perfect addition to container combinations. The intense bright yellow daisy blooms are nestled above the deep green fern like foliage. Golden Butterfly® gives constant color all summer long with little to no need to remove spent blooms. Heat and drought tolerant, Golden Butterfly® Argyranthemum prefers to be grown in full sun to part shade locations. For our southern gardeners, you may find that when your temperatures stay high, your blooms may slow down. If this is the case you can trim your plants back to encourage new growth and blooms. Grown as an annual, Golden Butterfly® is a perfect thriller for combination containers and makes a great border in the garden.

This plant is incredible in our hot, humid coastal weather. I cut if back last late fall, and it has continued to grow and bloom this summer. What are the chances of it being a perennial?

The plant was small when I received it, about 2"x3", but it grew fast and was always producing flowers. After about 3 weeks, it's now about 12"x12" and there's about 30 beautiful yellow flowers on it. Next spring, I'm planning on buying several Argyranthemum. Very easy to grow, wasn't eaten by any pest that attacked my salvia, zinnia, marigold, phlox, mums, daisies, monarda, asters and others. The plant deadheaded the flowers itself.

Works great for me as a container annual.
