Description
(Pigsqueak) Add a mass of fantastic spring color to your woodland shade garden with Bergenia 'Miss Piggy'. This full sun to full shade loving Pigsqueak features extra-large, thick, dark green foliage that is evergreen year-round. Standing 16 - 18 inches tall and spreading up to 32 inches wide, 'Miss Piggy' makes a great ground cover. In the spring large clusters of bright pink blossoms emerge nestled just above the foliage. The name 'Pigsqueak' comes from the sound the leaves make when they rub together. Hardy in zones 4-9, Bergenia like to be grown in average to fertile soil locations. You will enjoy the butterflies as they come to your garden, but there is no need to worry about the deer and rabbits as they tend to leave this plant alone. Bergenia 'Miss Piggy' is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
