Description

Standing 2.5 to 3 foot tall and spreading up to 3 foot wide, 'Blonde Ambition' creates an upright mounding habit. The fine blue-green foliage forms an upright clump, in the midsummer horizontal flowers emerge. Unique to Bouteloua 'Blonde Ambition' are the yellowish tan seed heads, generally they are purple on this genus. This easy-to-grow, low-maintenance, native grass is hardy in zones 4-9 and could typically be found in wind-swept prairies. Planted in full sun locations, with low to average water needs once established, 'Blonde Ambition' is waiting to find a home in your garden or landscape.
