Heart to Heart® 'Chinook' Caladium
- Color for Shade,
- Adaptable As Houseplant,
- Great in Combos
Description
(Strap Leaf) Great foliage color and interest are key to creating a container combination that will have the neighbors talking! Heart to Heart™ ‘Chinook’ Caladium is a Strap Leaf Caladium featuring elongated leaves with a light ruffled appearance. The beautiful salmon pink leaves are edges with a thick, dark green border. The deep salmon pink veins reach from the center of the leaf to the edges. The elongated heart shaped leaves form an upright mounding habit standing 12-14 inches tall and 8-10 inches wide. Heart to Heart™ ‘Chinook’ prefers to be grown in part shade to full shade locations. Caladiums generally do not like to be colder than 50 degrees so plant accordingly to your location. Caladiums are extremely heat tolerant, but we do recommend watering regularly keeping the soil moist but not wet. Heart to Heart™ ‘Chinook’ Caladium is a great thriller for combination planters, or mix in your annual and perennial beds for a colorful leafy addition. Once your warm weather season is over (in the North), Caladium Heart to Heart™ ‘Chinook’ can be brought indoors to be enjoyed as a tropical houseplant. Make sure to keep it in a bright sunny location with temperatures around 65 degrees. Beautiful indoors or out, let Heart to Heart™ ‘Chinook’ Caladiums bring joy and color to your home and garden.

Reviews
I've never had one these Caladiums before, so I took a chance. I am very impressed by this plant. It took off immediately in my garden bed, even with 4 hours of morning sun in the mid-Atlantic region. It's never looked back. It's grown steadily and looks beautiful--what a great plant! Thank you Heidi and Ron!
