(Feather Reed Grass) Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’ features striking feather plumes with wheat-colored seed heads in early summer, and the beauty lasts all year long. The upright habit makes a stately impression in the landscape, as a backdrop to other perennials or use as a screen in the landscape. Containers will also be highlighted by the thrilling grandeur of this feathery grass. ‘Karl Foerster’ grows to heights of 5 to 6 feet with a spread of 2 feet, and prefers sunny, dry conditions. Trim down to 6 inches in the spring before new growth appears. ‘Karl Foerster’ will not reseed, and is a great option if you happen to have heavy clay soil.

I received my grasses today. I can’t wait to plant them. They came within days of my order week. The grasses are beautifuly boxes. The grasses are nice size. I did order quart size.
