- Attractive Blooms,
- Free Flowering,
- Flowers in Filtered Shade
Description
(Clematis) Enjoy the delicate pink blooms of Clematis Sarah Elizabeth™ in your landscape or patio gardens. Sarah Elizabeth™ features soft pink flowers with bright magenta anthers. Free flowering, flowers will start early summer and bloom until early fall. Standing 4-5 feet tall, you will often see top to bottom color on your Sarah Elizabeth™ clematis. A very versatile clematis, Sarah Elizabeth™ can be planted in full sun to full shade locations. This is one of a few clematis that grows well in filtered shade. Grow up a trellis, arbor, or fence and enjoy flower color at heights most flowers don't go. Clematis are easy to grow, and we recommend trimming back to 6 inches at the end of the season. Keep their roots shaded with mulch or by planting your favorite low growing perennials around the base of the plant. Enjoy the butterflies and hummingbirds that come to visit your garden.

Reviews
Sarah-Elizabeth arrived well packaged without any damage. She was about 10 inches tall and already had two buds which turned into beautiful pink blooms. Since I have had such a bad problem with wilt, I repoted her in a gallon pot with good potting soil. The roots looked really good and she is growing well, lots of leaves. Since she is Group 3 I will cut her back to about six inches this winter. Next spring I plan on planting her in a five inch tall ring with amended soil and mulch to ensure good drainage. I am hoping that will help with drainage and prevent wilt. She is a beautiful plant. I purchased SE because I have a space that has a little morning sun and then lots of shade; and also because I have a niece by that name.
