Description

(Coneflower) The Sombrero® series of coneflower has certainly been an outstanding performer for us over the years. With the vibrant array of colors, excellent winter hardiness, and great habit in the landscape, they do not disappoint. Echinacea SOMBRERO® ‘Tango Tangerine’ is a vibrant coral/salmon orange-colored flower with a dark eye. Fairly compact in size, Echinacea SOMBRERO® ‘Tango Tangerine’ stands 18-20 inches tall and up to 24 inches wide. The dark green foliage forms a nice mound, when the flowers are forming, sturdy dark purple stems emerge with the flower buds waiting to open. Hardy in zones 4-9, Coneflowers like to be grown in full sun locations with well-drained fertile soil. Once established Coneflowers are a drought-tolerant perennial. Enjoy the flutter of butterflies and hummingbirds as they enjoy the sweet nectar in the flowers. Once the flowers fade, leave the seed pods on for the songbirds to enjoy. Coneflowers are one of the most recognized flowers in the garden and are easy to grow perennial. Create a sea of color by adding an array of Sombrero® Coneflowers to your collection.
