Description

(Bugleweed) Feathered Friends® 'Noble Nightingale' Ajuga is a striking small-leaved variety. The feather-like foliage of this evergreen ground cover is extremely glossy and is deep purple, almost black. It provides excellent texture to shady areas and is set off by cobalt blue blooms in spring. 'Noble Nightingale' Ajuga grows 4-6" high and will spread to 9-18" wide and is best grown in part to full shade in moist, well-drained soil. Use as a border or ground cover plant in the shade garden. 'Noble Nightingale' compliments other shade plants such as Brunnera, Heuchera, Hosta, and Pulmonaria.
