Collection: Daylily - Hemerocallis - Perennials
Daylilies are the workhorses of the garden. There are long-blooming Daylily varieties as well as re-blooming varieties. Some Daylilies have flowers in a single bright color, while others are two or three-toned. Garden Crossings has Daylilies in a range of colors from purple, to yellow, to red, to orange and every color in between!
The Daylily's botanical name, Hemerocallis, means 'beauty for a day' so you will notice that each flower will open in the morning and die by the end of the day. Each stem typically has at least a dozen buds, so these beauties will continue to bloom for weeks. Daylilies are perennials that thrive in full sun, but some varieties will tolerate partial shade. They are widely adaptable to all soil types and are drought-tolerant. You will want to make room in the garden for Daylilies.
