(Daylily) This one stopped me in my tracks in the trial garden, 'Raspberry Eclipse' Daylily! The large, 5.5 inch blossoms are extremely showy featuring raspberry purple blooms with a lavender purple band and a bright yellow eye. The heavily ruffled petals are edged in a bright yellow picotee edge. Standing up to 30 inches tall and spreading up to 24 inches wide, Daylily 'Raspberry Eclipse' can be grown in full sun to part shade locations and is hardy in zones 3-9. Rabbit resistant, 'Raspberry Eclipse' attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden. Easy to grow and adaptable in just about every growing condition, daylilies are one of the most popular flowers in gardens and landscapes.
