Standing 8-12 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide the upright columnar habit of Blue Chiffon® Hibiscus will make a statement in the landscape. Hardy in zones 5-9, Rose of Sharon likes to be planted in full sun to part sun locations. The more sun the more flowers you will get. Blooming mid to late summer, this hibiscus has little to no seed set. If you are looking for a deer resistant shrub, this is a great choice. You will be amazed at the hummingbirds that come to visit. Although trimming is rarely needed, if you do feel like trimming, we recommend doing so in the fall or early spring. Blue Chiffon® Hibiscus blooms off of the new growth. Wonderful experience. I was well informed with shipping updates. The plant was well packaged. The box indicated clearly for FedEx this was live plant so the FedEx man was extra careful ( watched from my Ring camera lol). My Blue Chiffon Hibiscus was is a healthy and happy plant.
