Hollywood Hibiscus™ Social Butterfly™ Tropical Hibiscus
- Vibrant Color Show,
- Attracts Hummingbirds,
- Drought Tolerant
Description
(Tropical Hibiscus) Add a beautiful, bright flower display to your garden with Hollywood Hibiscus™ Social Butterfly™! This tropical hibiscus features bold yellow blooms that fade to orange near the base of the petals and deep magenta centers. These blooms are large and stand out amongst deep green foliage. Each bloom lasts for 3 days on the plant. Hummingbirds love tropical hibiscus and will be sure to visit! Hollywood Hibiscus™ Social Butterfly™ acts as an evergreen in zones 9-11, but it can be grown as an annual in colder zones, or brought indoors for the winter. If you choose to bring your tropical hibiscus indoors for the winter, make sure it is placed in direct sunlight. The plant may lose its leaves while indoors, but it will flush back out in the spring once it is brought outdoors again. Hollywood Hibiscus™ Social Butterfly™ grows best in full sun and is heat tolerant. It blooms on new growth so it can be trimmed back once it is done blooming for the season. We recommend feeding your tropical hibiscus once in the spring with a slow-release fertilizer. It can reach a height of 60 inches and a width of 48 inches. Add a tropical feel to your garden by planting as a specimen, bring it poolside for a feel of the tropics, or plant in your favorite container to welcome you at your front door.
