(Designer Hosta) Hosta ‘Captain Kirk’ is a notable improved sport of the very popular Hosta ‘Gold Standard’. The leaves have bright gold centers that contrast nicely against the dark green margins. ‘Captain Kirk’ is much more sun tolerant than other hostas. For the best golden leaf color, plant in an area that receives morning sun. Lavender flowers appear mid summer to a height of 30 inches.

Gorgeous Hosta
A stunningly gorgeous Hosta. Mine were quite large and very healthy when they arrived from Garden Crossings. Popped them into the garden – in a mostly shady area & they’ve grown like weeds. I am actually not a huge Hosta fan, but I really like Cap. Kirk & it brightens up this dark corner in my garden.
