(Hosta) SHADOWLAND® ‘Hudson Bay’ Hosta is a very attractive hosta with large leaves that have a creamy white center that is splashed with lime green and a bright blue margin. SHADOWLAND® ‘Hudson Bay’ is a sport of ‘Eskimo Pie’ and is a much showier plant that has proven to be good at resisting slugs due to the heavy texture of the leaves. It forms an attractive 2 foot mound. Its foliage can be enjoyed all summer long, and in early summer near white flowers appear on 26″ white scapes. These flowers attract bees and hummingbirds making it a great pollinator plant. Hostas prefer moist, well-drained soil in a full to part shade location. They are hardy in zones 3-9.
