(Smooth Hydrangea) If you are looking for a virtually foolproof Hydrangea, the Invincibelle series is a must! Invincibelle Garnetta® Hydrangea blooms year after year even in colder zones. Standing 30 inches tall and wide, this compact shrub has extra sturdy stems to hold up its beautiful blooms. The silvery garnette blooms start mid-summer and reblooms throughout the season. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, this native flowering shrub is hardy in zones 3-8. In southern areas, we recommend afternoon shade, but some sun is recommended for the best flower performance. The compact size and reblooming trait make this a good choice for mass plantings, hedges, tucked-in perennial gardens or planted as a thriller in container gardens. Smooth hydrangeas bloom off the new growth. If you feel like you need to trim your Invincibelle Garnetta® Hydrangea, we recommend doing so early spring by removing the top ⅓ of the plant. Snip a few blooms to bring indoors as a cut or dried flower for longer enjoyment. It is is a PROVEN WINNERS® COLORCHOICE® Flowering Shrub.
