(Winterberry Holly) BERRY POPPINSĀ® Ilex means berries poppin everywhere! You want the berries for color in your winter landscape, but don’t have room for traditional Hollies? Then we suggest giving BERRY POPPINSĀ® a try. This compact variety stands 3-4 foot tall and wide, staying very tidy for a compact garden. Bountiful masses of large, bright, orange-red berries are produced for a colorful winter display. The leaves of BERRY POPPINSĀ® drop early in the season producing a better fruit display. Ilex grow best in a full sun to part shade location. The berries will attract songbirds and make a great addition to cut floral arrangements. Use MR. POPPINSĀ® or Jim Dandy as the male pollinator. Have this one under a tree, gets some sun during the day, but still on the small side may have to move it this spring. Berries are more Orange than Red.
