Growing up to 36 inches tall, Spearmint likes to be grown in full sun to shade locations. Hardy in zones 3-7. the serrated green leaves have a fresh minty scent. Late summer purple-blue blooms appear. Spearmint is best when used fresh as soon as you see it go to bloom. The flavorful leaves are used for cooking as well as in summer drinks such as mojitos.
