Description
(Purslane) Enjoy bright orange blooms in the garden with Mojave® Mango Portulaca. This cheery portulaca features an abundance of blooms in shades of light and dark orange. It blooms from the beginning of the season until frost, providing continuous color to the garden. Portulacas are resilient plants and are drought-tolerant, heat tolerant, and salt tolerant. While it grows best with regular watering, it can tolerate dry soils, and it should be grown in a location with full sun. The more sun it gets, to more open the flowers are. Mojave® Mango Portulaca is a short plant that only reaches a height of 4-8 inches. It grows in a mounded, trailing habit, spreading up to 12-16 inches. It acts as a spiller in container combinations, it can also be planted as a groundcover or mass planting in the garden. Easy to care for, this portulaca does not require deadheading.
