Description
(Mexican Feather Grass) Nassella (formerly Stipa) 'Mexican Feather Grass' has flexible, needle like, bright green leaves. The feathery foliage sways in the slightest breeze, adding movement to your landscape. The tan, silky flowers appear late in the summer, and the plant grows 12-24" high and 20-24" wide. Use this plant as an accent, in borders, mass plantings, rock gardens, or in containers, as a "thriller" plant. It can be a perennial in zones 7-10, but treated as an annual in colder locations. Plant this heat tolerant plant in part to full sun for best results.
