'Prince of Orange' Oriental Poppy is a stunning orange poppy with a black center, who's petals have a crape like appearance and a satin texture. 'Prince of Orange' Oriental Poppy stands 30 inches tall and can spread to 24 inches wide. Late spring/early summer the beautiful blooms emerge. Once your poppy is finished blooming it will go dormant for the summer so be sure to plant around it so you don't have a bare spot in your garden. oriental poppies like to be grown in full sun locations with well drained soil. This deer and rabbit resistant perennial is hardy in zones 3-7.

The Poppy arrived with a cracked container but looked green and healthy. I was holding the plant with some other until my time and the weather cooperated. After a few days time the plant started to decline rapidly. When it was planted I could detect no green but hoping that the roots survived. So fingers crossed, I'll see a poppy plant next spring. The 2 Stokesia Totally Stoked Whitecaps that I also ordered look fantastic and have started blooming beautifully!
