Description

(Petunia) SUPERTUNIA® BORDEAUX™ Petunia has light-purple to light-pink blooms highlighted by deep plum-burgundy veins. This Petunia blooms continuously, does not need to be deadheaded, and will attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It grows 6-10" high and can trail up to 48" making it a perfect choice for hanging baskets, window boxes, combination planters and even the front of the landscape border. It has medium to large flowers and will perform best with regular watering and application of a water-soluble fertilizer every one to two weeks. Come midsummer you may want to give your SUPERTUNIA® BORDEAUX™ a slight trim to encourage branching and new growth.

Pretty but not very vigorous

Maybe I was too influenced by all the positive reviews of this variety, but I am not particularly impressed. It's pretty enough, but very slow growing, and highly attractive to earwigs to boot. It's the only petunia in the garden that I absolutely have to bait, or it would be gone. I won't be ordering this again.

First supertunia I grew. Loves the sun. This plant gets big in a short time. Make sure roots don’t sit in water. I recommend proven winners fertilizers. They are great! I trim mine in mid July. It grows back quickly and will make plant more full. Highly recommended!
